Brenthel Industries Delivers Elite Performance at 2026 SCORE San Felipe 250

New Drivers Rise to the Challenge at One of the World’s Toughest Races

San Felipe, Baja California, Mexico (March 31, 2026) — Brenthel Industries delivered an impressive showing at the 2026 SCORE San Felipe 250, with a strong field of race-prepped trucks successfully completing one of the most demanding events in off-road racing.

Known for its brutal terrain, high speeds, and unforgiving conditions, the San Felipe 250 remains a true proving ground for both drivers and machines. Brenthel’s performance highlighted not only the durability of its trucks, but the strength of its fully integrated racing program — from training to race-day execution.

The team entered the event through its Arrive & Race program, supporting a diverse lineup of drivers ranging from first-time competitors to seasoned racers. Across the board, Brenthel-prepared entries demonstrated consistency, reliability, and race-ready performance.

“This weekend is exactly what our program is built for — combining top-tier equipment with real driver development,” said Jonathan Brenthel. “From first-time racers to experienced drivers, our system is designed to prepare them for the toughest conditions in off-road racing — and the results speak for themselves.”

From First-Time Drivers to Race Finishers

One of the standout stories of the weekend came from Patrick Wieland, who made his first-ever off-road race start in the highly competitive Trophy Truck Spec class after progressing through Brenthel’s TT School.

Wieland delivered an impressive and disciplined performance, running a clean race to secure an 11th-place finish in Spec — a remarkable achievement for a debut driver in such a challenging field.

“If there’s ever been a better success story for Brenthel TT School than showing up to the San Felipe 250 and running a clean race in my first-ever Trophy Truck race, I don’t know what else is,” said Wieland.
“The coaching staff, mechanics, and entire team delivered incredible support across the board.”

Equally inspiring was a father-and-son team from Michigan, who entered the program with zero prior off-road experience. After completing Brenthel’s training and preparation program, they successfully finished the race — a powerful testament to what’s possible with the right system behind you.

Their journey from complete beginners to San Felipe finishers perfectly captures the core of Brenthel’s mission: making elite-level desert racing accessible without compromising performance or safety.

Proven Performance Across All Levels

Beyond the new driver success stories, Brenthel also delivered strong results among its experienced racers. Shawn Runyon, a longtime member of the Brenthel program, secured a podium finish in the Legends class, further reinforcing the program’s ability to compete at a high level across multiple divisions.

The weekend as a whole stands as a strong validation of Brenthel’s comprehensive approach, which combines:

  • Professionally engineered, race-proven trucks
Hands-on driver training through TT SchoolStrategic pit support and race logisticsReal-world desert prerunning experience

Each race provides valuable insight, and the team continues to refine and evolve its program with every mile.

Setting the Standard for Modern Desert Racing

Brenthel Industries continues to lead the way in off-road racing by delivering more than just vehicles — offering complete, race-ready experiences designed to develop drivers and maximize performance.

From first-time competitors to veteran racers, Brenthel’s integrated system gives drivers the confidence and support needed to take on some of the toughest terrain in the world.

The team’s performance at the 2026 San Felipe 250 marks a strong start to the SCORE season and reinforces Brenthel’s position as a premier force in desert racing.
