BRENTHEL INDUSTRIES CELEBRATES FIVE PODIUMS AND 12 FINISHERS AT THE BAJA 400

Apdaly Lopez leads a Brenthel 1–2 finish in Trophy Truck Spec as 12 Brenthel-built trucks complete the race across all Trophy Truck classes.

ENSENADA, Baja California, Mexico — Brenthel Industries wrapped up an action-packed Baja 400 race week with 12 Brenthel-built trucks racing across all Trophy Truck classes, highlighted by five podium finishes. Leading the charge was Apdaly Lopez, whose victory in the Brenthel Industries race truck, followed by Mike Marsal in second, secured a Brenthel 1–2 finish in Trophy Truck Spec.

With seven-plus trucks making the trip as part of Brenthel’s race-week effort, the team’s presence extended well beyond race day. Drivers, crews, partners, and Arrive-and-Drive clients came together for days of pre-running, qualifying, and experiencing everything that makes racing in Baja unlike anything else.

From the factory race team to customer-owned Brenthel trucks, the week delivered results worth celebrating—and reflected the work that goes into getting these trucks to the finish line.

A Long-Awaited Victory for Apdaly Lopez

The standout result came from Apdaly Lopez, who drove the #273 Brenthel Industries race truck to first place in Trophy Truck Spec. Following him onto the podium was Mike Marsal, who secured second place in his #236 Brenthel-built truck, putting Brenthel on the top two steps of the Spec podium.

For Apdaly and the Brenthel team, this victory was a long time coming. After several podium finishes together, earning his first Baja win under the Brenthel Industries tent made the result especially meaningful. Celebrating that milestone in Baja, where Apdaly has built such a strong connection with the racing community, was one of the defining moments of the week.

The 1–2 finish was a proud result for everyone involved—from the people building and preparing the trucks to the drivers, navigators, and crews putting that work to the test on race day.

Rob MacCachren Joins the Brenthel AWD Effort

Brenthel also had the honor of welcoming Rob MacCachren behind the wheel of the Brenthel all-wheel-drive Trophy Truck now part of Gerard Lopez’s GL27 Racing program.

Competing under #62, MacCachren brought the truck home sixth in the official Trophy Truck classification, adding another completed Baja race to the AWD program’s record.

Having Rob join the effort was a special opportunity for Brenthel and GL27. Alongside Gerard’s own race program, his participation added another exciting chapter to the growing relationship between the two teams and put the Brenthel AWD truck through another demanding race.

More Podiums Across the Brenthel Lineup

The results continued in Trophy Truck Legends, where Gerard Lopez earned second place, followed by Shawn Runyon in third. Their finishes put two more Brenthel-built trucks on the podium and gave both teams plenty to celebrate at the end of the race.

In Trophy Truck 2WD, Mike Perez secured second place in his Brenthel-built truck, bringing Brenthel’s podium total to five across three classes.

Beyond those podiums, additional top-10 finishes throughout the Trophy Truck classes rounded out a strong showing for the wider Brenthel racing community.

From Pre-Running to the Starting Line

The work began well before the green flag. Days of pre-running gave drivers and crews valuable time on the course, building familiarity with the terrain and preparing for the challenges ahead.

Qualifying delivered encouraging results, with Apdaly Lopez earning P2 in Trophy Truck Spec and Rob MacCachren qualifying P9 in Trophy Truck, giving both drivers solid starting positions for race day.

For Brenthel’s Arrive-and-Drive clients, the week offered an opportunity to experience Baja firsthand. Pre-running alongside the team provided a closer look at the terrain, preparation, and teamwork involved in taking on the Baja 400.

That experience is an important part of the Brenthel program: giving clients the opportunity to be part of race week, understand the work behind the racing, and experience Baja from more than the sidelines.

12 Finishers. One Shared Commitment.

By the end of the Baja 400, 12 Brenthel-built trucks had completed the race across all Trophy Truck classes. Alongside the podium results, that finish-line showing was a point of pride for the entire Brenthel community.

Every finish represented the combined effort of drivers, navigators, mechanics, fabricators, and chase crews. From preparation in the shop to support throughout the course, those contributions carried through every stage of the week.

Brenthel Industries thanks its racers, team members, partners, and Arrive-and-Drive clients for their commitment, along with the Baja fans and communities who continue to make these events special.

A long-awaited Spec victory, five podiums, and 12 Brenthel trucks across the finish line made this a Baja 400 worth celebrating.
