TEAM DRIVER KYLE JERGENSEN CAPTURES OVERALL WIN AT KOH

Johnson Valley, CA

To win in off-road desert racing requires a trifecta of desire, preparation, and talent. In today’s sport, you cannot win if you do not possess all three. The competition brings all of that and more to each race as one of the most prestigious races. The 2022 King Of The Hammers attracts the most significant competition. With that laid out, Brenthel Industries is proud to recognize Kyle Jergensen as the overall victor of the 2022 King Of The Hammers Desert Challenge

Winning one of the biggest races of the year is not without tremendous effort and huge investments. Brenthel Industries is without a doubt one of the busiest and most productive off-road racing manufacturers in the business. They are well known for their race-winning truck construction, race logistics, a well-established arrive-and-drive program, competitive race prep, parts manufacturing, and more.

Backing Kyle Jergensen, the organization has achieved multiple race wins and the 2021 Best In the Desert Trick Truck and Overall Championship.

”We qualified 4th in this brand new truck,” explained Conner. “I was very conservative during qualifying as well as during the race because I have never driven this vehicle before.”

For the 2022 King Of The Hammers Desert Challenge, Jergensen and Brenthel Industries faced a seriously competitive field of the most elite off-road racers. The course was brutal and rough and equalized the competition. It came down to the driver and equipment. “For prerunning, I used my new Brenthel Gen 3 Truck. We did three full laps and two more during the Prologue. We took over 350 notes for this event. My expert co-driver, Shawn Shanks, is very good at quickly entering the notes marking all the rocks and correct lines. Our prerun pace is very quick, and our new truck is so smooth. Honestly, it is like cheating having a race truck as a prerunner.”

Jergensen went on, “I pushed hard to get a good starting position during the Prologue. We ended up second and that worked out very well. I started next to Bryce Menzies, who was the fastest during the prologue. After the race was underway and at Race Mile 58, we saw Bryce stopped on the side of the course. We got by and it was clear air after that. We had no flat tires and zero issues in the Brenthel Industries T1. It was a perfect day!”

“The team had good pits and provided us with spot-on split times and communications. We knew what we had to do and extended our time to a 10-minute lead at one point. We were on cruise control from then on. Honestly, this is a big win for us. I am thrilled to bring this one home for Brenthel Industries.”
